Pittsfield Softball Makes Short Work of West Side

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Kamryn Renata went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles as the Pittsfield softball team opened the season with a 14-2, five-inning win over West Springfield.
 
Amanda Pou and Mia Arpante each had three hits in a 16-hit Generals attack.
 
Neveah Lopez went 2-for-2 with a double, and Bella MacDonald was 2-for-2.
 
Arpante earned the win in the circle, striking out six, walking none and allowing no earned runs.
 
Pittsfield (1-0) goes to Minnechaug on Thursday.
