Turners Falls Softball Team Tops Lenox

MONTAGUE, Mass. – Madi Liimatainen struck out 14 and allowed one earned run Wednesday to lead the Turners Falls softball team to a 9-2 win over Lenox in the Division 5 State Tournament Round of 16.

 

Madisyn Dietz went 3-for-3 with a triple, a double and two RBIs to lead the Thunder’s offense.

 

Anna Nealon led Lenox at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double and scoring a run.

 

Evelyn Julieano was 2-for-2 with a double, two runs batted in and two walks.

 

Julieano also went the distance in the circle, allowing six earned runs.

 

Lenox finishes the season with a record of 13-9, including the first state tournament win in program history.
