Franklin Tech Softball Shuts Down Lenox

TURNERS FALLS, Mass. – Hannah Gilbert struck out 16 and allowed just one hit and one walk Monday to lead the Franklin Tech softball team to a 3-0 win over Lenox in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class C Tournament.

 

Anna Nealon had the lone hit for the Millionaires, who got a walk from Evelyn Julieano.

 

Julieano went the distance in the circle for Lenox, striking out four, walking one and allowing just one earned run.

 

Lenox (8-9) is yet to learn its final regular season opponent.

 

Second-seeded Franklin Tech Wednesday hosts No. 3 Drury in the regional semi-finals.
