GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Amaya Alger went 2-for-5 with a triple and two runs batted in Wednesday as the Lenox softball team beat Monument Mountain, 14-8, for the Millionaires’ second straight win.

Aliza Munch went 3-for-5, and four different Lenox players had at least two hits in a 13-hit attack.

Amber Arseneau and Evelyn Julieano also had two hits apiece as Lenox scored six in the first and three more in the second to take control.

Julieano earned the win in the circle, striking out six. She allowed just three runs until the Spartans rallied for five in the bottom of the seventh.

“Lenox played a good game defensively,” Monument Mountain coach Jamie Downer said. “They
threw out a runner at second on a steal, picked off a runner at third and turned a double play. They hit the ball well and took advantage of mistakes made by us defensively.”

Meg Dupont allowed just five earned runs in the circle for the Spartans.

Monument Mountain got a double, a triple and a pair of RBIs from Alex Tenney. Jade Abderhalden went 3-for-3 and drove in three runs for the Spartans.

Monument Mountain (4-1) goes to Westfield Tech on Thursday.
