SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Luis Campos scored 22 points Thursday to lead the LIbertas Charter boys basketball team to an 80-78 win over Lee.

Libertas built a 45-39 lead by half-time and held off the Wildcats in the second half to improve to 4-0 this winter.

Lee coach Dan Korte said it was a hard-fought game.

“This was a great basketball game to be a part of with two league opponents battling to the end,” he said. “I'm proud of the way our kids fought. Libertas is an explosive team, they are well coached, and they played a great game tonight. I look forward to seeing them again later in the season when they come to Lee.”

Mason Lucy scored 20 points to lead Lee, which had five players in double figures.

Joey Abderhalden scored 18, and Jacob Cooper added 14. John Birghenti and Noah Masten scored 12 and 10, respectively.

Lee (1-2) is at Mount Everett on Monday.
