Lee Boys Drop Second Half of Back-to-Back
LEE, Mass. – Jai'rell Evans scored 34 points Tuesday to lead the Veritas Charter boys basketball team to a 71-66 win over Lee.
Veritas outscored the Wildcats, 20-12, in the fourth quarter to snap Lee’s four-game winning streak.
“We came out flat from the opening tip tonight, and Veritas had a lot of energy and was able to dictate the pace of the game,” Lee coach Dan Korte said. “Back-to-backs are tough, but that is no excuse. We have to learn how to bring consistent energy every night.”
Joey Abderhalden scored 21 points to lead Lee, which got 11 points from Jacob Cooper and nine from Mason Lucy.
The Wildcats (5-5) host Libertas Charter on Friday.
