Bond, Blue Devils Down Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Jorge Bond scored 33 points to lead the Drury boys basketball team to a 79-55 win over Taconic.
 
Bond scored 12 points in the first quarter, when the Blue Devils jumped out to a 24-14 lead.
 
Drury led, 43-34, at half-time but pulled away by outscoring the Thunder, 19-6, in the third quarter, when Bond scored seven more and Shane Foucher (15 points) went 5-for-6 at the free throw line.
 
Brayden Durant and Connor Hinkell each scored nine points for Drury.
 
Quincy King scored 20 to lead Taconic, which got 11 points from Jalen Hamilton and 10 from Kalvin Phillips.
 
The Thunder (0-3) is at Hoosac Valley on Monday.
 
Drury (2-1) is at Mount Everett on Tuesday.
