Mount Everett Boys Move to 4-0

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Darius Taliaferro and Trevor Leonard each scored 13 points Thursday to lead the Mount Everett boys basketball team to a 53-42 win over Veritas Prep.
 
Brady Carpenter scored eight of his 11 points in the first quarter, when the Eagles took a 19-4 lead.
 
“Guthrie Davis added 10 points for Mount Everett, which ran its record to 4-0 with the win.
 
“Proud of the team tonight,” Mount Everett coach Jowe Warren said. “It was a physical hard fought game. The boys showed a lot of grit and toughness tonight.”
 
Mount Everett Monday hosts Lee.
