Mount Everett Tops Lenox
LENOX, Mass. – Brady Carpenter scored 16 points Tuesday to lead the Mount Everett boys basketball team to a 48-30 win over Lenox.
Trevor Leonard scored 11 for the Eagles, who jumped out to an 18-4 lead.
Lenox rallied to get within 12 at 39-27 going to the fourth quarter, but Carpenter scored seven points in the fourth quarter to help his team pull away.
"Mount Everett was impressive on both ends of the floor, particularly on the glass," Lenox coach Len Miller said. "The Carpenter player was especially effective and posed a major challenge for us to contain and keep off the boards.
"Turnovers were a major factor in the loss. We committed far too many, and many were unforced, making it difficult to sustain offensive rhythm or generate consistent scoring opportunities."
Duke Jaehnig scored 14 points to lead Lenox, which got seven points from Dylan Blake.
The Millionaires (3-3) host Mount Greylock on Friday.
Mount Everett (9-1) hosts Veritas Prep on Friday.
