Field, Hoosac Valley Boys Stop Taconic in Its Debut

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Frank Field scored 19 points Monday to lead the Hoosac Valley boys basketball team to a 55-50 win over Taconic.
 
Field scored 10 points in the fourth quarter as the Hurricanes held off a comeback bid from Taconic, which went to the final frame down by eight points.
 
Luc Levesque scored 16 points, and Carson Meczywor added 10 in the win.
 
Sean Harrigan scored 16 points to lead Taconic in its season opener. Sam Sherman, Frank Boua and Ezekiel Percy added nine, eight and seven points, respectively.
 
Taconic (0-1) is back on the road on Wednesday when it goes to Wahconah.
 
Hoosac Valley (14-2) travels to the Boys and Girls Club to face Pittsfield High on Wednesday.
