McLaughlin, Wahconah Edge Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Sam McLaughlin scored 23 points, and the Wahconah boys basketball team Tuesday overcame a six-point half-time deficit to earn a 69-67 win at Taconic.

 

Cooper Calvert hit two of his six 3-pointers in the third quarter, when Wahconah outscored the Thunder, 24-16, to take the lead.

 

Calvert ended up with 18 points. Jake Wasuk chipped in with 11 for Wahconah.

 

Taconic was led by Quincy King with 19 pointers. Caysen Blasioli and Santino Herring finished with 15 and 11 points, respectively.

 

Taconic (3-6) goes to Drury on Friday.

 

Wahconah (9-1) is at Hoosac Valley on Friday.
