CHESHIRE, Mass. – Colin Quinn and Chase Mathers each scored 13 points Wednesday to lead the South Hadley boys basketball team to a 58-42 win over Hoosac Valley.

“The dreaded third quarter has been Hoosc Valley’s downfall most of the year, and that continued tonight as South Hadley won the quarter, 13-4,” Hoosac Valley coach Bill Robinson said. “South Hadley was just better in every category tonight: shooting, rebounding, defending and coaching.”

Frank Field scored a game-high 18, and Carson Meczywor added 12 for the Hurricanes.

Hoosac Valley (7-4) hosts Hampshire on Friday.
