Hoosac Valley Boys Fall at Sutton

SUTTON, Mass. – The Hoosac Valley boys basketball team Tuesday fell behind, 18-7, in the first quarter, and Sutton never let off the gas in a 57-29 win in the Sweet 16 of the Division 5 State Tournament.
 
Cameron Benedict led a balanced scoring attack for Sutton with 12 points.
 
Frank Field and Adan Wicks split the scoring for Hoosac Valley with 19 and 10 points, respectively.
 
The Hurricanes finish the season with a record of 14-8.
 
Eighth-seeded Sutton moves on to face the winner of Wednesday’s game between No. 1 Taconic and No. 17 Paulo Freire Social Justice Charter in Pittsfield.
