Caleb Rondeau and Katie Bachli helped their teams to undefeated weeks last week, and, like most spring sport high school athletes, they face a busy week ahead.

Rondeau came up big in two very different wins for the McCann Tech baseball team.

On Monday, he struck out seven and allowed no runs in 4-2/3 innings of work to help the Hornets earn a 2-1 win at Springfield Commerce.

Three days later, Rondeau went 3-for-5 with a pair of RBIs and scored twice as McCann belted out 15 hits in an 11-0 win at Lee.

For the season, he is hitting .296 and is tied for the team lead with 11 runs scored. He also has posted a 1.88 earned run average with a 2-0 record on the mound.

This week, McCann Tech will need all of its pitchers on deck as it faces five games in five days starting with Monday's home game against Pathfinder.

Bachli and the Wahconah girls lacrosse team plays three games this week, and the first one is a biggie: Tuesday's rematch against Berkshire County rival Mount Greylock.

In their first meeting last Monday, Bachli made eight saves in an 11-5 Wahconah win to start a 3-0 week.

She capped the week by making the 500th save of her career in a win over Hoosac Valley.

She has backstopped Wahconah to an 8-3 record this spring, allowing fewer than five goals per game. She has stopped 76 of the 120 shots she has seen for a save percentage of more than 63 percent.
