Mount Greylock Boys Earn Second Straight Upset in State Tourney

WESTPORT, Mass. -- The Mount Greylock boys basketball team Monday outscored Westport, 19-14, in the fourth quarter to earn a 55-52 win in the Division 5 State Tournament's Round of 16.
 
Chase Doyle scored seven of his team-high 15 in the fourth-quarter rally that sent the 22nd-seeded Mounties into the state quarter-finals.
 
Seamus Barnes also scored 15 for Mount Greylock (17-6), which got 11 points from Jackson Shelsy and 10 from Max McAlister.
 
McAlister hit three 3-pointers and a big free throw in the closing seconds to help secure the win.
 
Owen Boudria scored a game-high 22 for sixth-seeded Westport (14-8).
 
Mount Greylock moves on to face the winner of Tuesday's game between No. 3 Hopedale and No. 14 Holebrook for a berth in the semi-finals.
