Kane-Smalls Leads Mounties in State Tournament Upset

CANTON, Mass. -- Noah Kane-Smalls scored 25 points Tuesday to lead the Mount Greylock boys basketball team to a 50-49 win over Blue Hills Regional Vocational Technical in the Division 4 State Tournament preliminary round.
 
The Mounties outscored their hosts, 10-6, in the fourth quarter, when Mount Greylock got seven points from Desmond Cobb.
 
Cobb finished with 16 points for the Mounties.
 
Mount Greylock (12-9) trailed, 43-40, going into the fourth quarter but rallied for its sixth straight win.
 
The 41st-seeded Mounties advance to Thurday's Round of 32 game at No. 9 Georgetown (15-5).
