South Hadley Edges Pittsfield Boys in Regional Quarter-Finals

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Colin Quinn scored 21 points, and the South Hadley boys basketball team Monday held off a comeback bid by Pittsfield in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class B tournament.
 
Carter Mungin scored a game-high 29 points for Pittsfield.
 
Da’Sean Brown scored eight of his 13 points in the fourth quarter, when the Generals outscored the Tigers, 18-14, and nearly erased a five-point deficit.
 
Keanu Arce-Jackson scored 10, and Makai Shepardson added seven in the loss.
 
Sixth-seeded South Hadley advances to play Springfield International Charter on Wednesday in the regional semi-finals.
 
Pittsfield (15-4) finishes the regular season on Wednesday against Wahconah.
