Brown Leads Pittsfield to Victory in Tourney Opener

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Da’Sean “Nunu” Brown scored 22 points Thursday to lead the Pittsfield HIgh boys basketball team to a 75-66 win over Springfield International Charter School in the Division 3 State Tournament.
 
Brown scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, when the Generals outscored the Bulldogs, 28-23, to pull away.
 
Makai Shepardson scored 19, and Malachi Perry added 18 in the win, the second of the season for Pittsfield over Springfield ICS.
 
The third-seeded Generals (17-5) advance to the tournament’s Round of 16 to play either Watertown (13-7) or Shawsheen Valley Tech (14-6), who meet on Friday night.
