Hawley Powers Lee High Girls to Second Win

LEE, Mass. -- Brianna Hawley scored 16 points, including six in a decisive fourth quarter, as the Lee High girls basketball team improved to 2-0 Tuesday with a 38-35 win over Turners Falls.

 

Lee was down by six points with six minutes left to play before it pulled ahead.

 

Hawley hit a 3-pointer and a foul shot, and Karli Retzel made a couple of big free throws in the closing moments.

 

Kendra Williams scored nine points, and Shannon Finnegan added six for the Wildcats.

 

Lee looks to stay unbeaten when it hosts Monson next Wednesday.
