Easthampton Girls Pull Away from Taconic
EASTHAMPTON, Mass. – Nola Roos Monday scored 19 points to lead the Easthampton girls basketball team to a 57-24 win over Taconic.
The Thunder hung tough early on, going into the second quarter tied, 16-16.
But Easthampton pulled ahead by 14 at half-time and never looked back.
“Easthampton was on fire, hitting their shots as we went extremely cold in the second, third and fourth quarters,” Taconic coach Jason Conuel said. “I’m proud of my team. They did not quit and played extremely hard to the end of the game.”
Evellyn Croce and Kiannah Josephs each scored seven points to lead the Thunder.
Taconic (1-8) goes to Monument Mountain on Thursday.
