PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Evellyn Croce scored 13 points Monday to lead the Taconic girls basketball team to a 39-33 win over Sci-Tech.

Croce scored seven points in the second quarter, when Taconic built a 15-8 half-time lead. And she scored six in the fourth, when Taconic pulled away after the visitors got within two.

Toni Ahoussi scored six of her eight points in that fourth quarter, as well.

Kiannah Josephs finished with nine points and, along with Croce, led Taconic on the boards.

“Melanie Hamilton did a great job guarding Sci-Tech’s best player, holding her to only eight points for the game,” Taconic coach Jason Conuel said.

Taconic (2-10) goes to Wahconah on Wednesday.
