DALTON, Mass. – Grace Wigington scored 21 points Tuesday to lead the Wahconah girls basketball team to a 60-28 win over South Hadley.

The Tigers, who dropped a 60-26 decision when the teams met in South Hadley, surprised Wahconah by jumping out to an 11-6 lead after one quarter.

But Wahconah righted the ship and built a 25-15 lead going into half-time.

Wigington knocked down two of our four 3-pointers and scored 10 points in the second quarter.

Emma Belcher also had a 3 in the second and finished with two of Wahconah’s 10 triples in the game.

Olivia Gamberoni scored 13 points, and Olivia Mason had seven in their team’s fourth straight win.

Wahconah (12-3) started the night as the ninth-ranked team in the state in Division 4. On Thursday in Dalton, it has a rematch with Monson, a 46-40 victim when the teams met back in December.
