Wahconah Girls Qualify for State Tournament

DALTON, Mass. – Madison McCarthy scored 20 points Saturday as the Wahconah girls basketball team beat Taconic, 56-30, to pick up its 10th win and punch a ticket for the Division 4 State Tournament.

 

Olivia Mason scored 11 points, and Anna Doyle contributed eight for Wahconah, which took a 21-7 lead after one quarter and led by 22 points at half-time.

 

Kiannah Josephs scored 13 points for Taconic, which got 10 from Jalisa Jessup.

 

The Thunder (3-9) is at Monument Mountain on Monday.

 

Wahconah (10-2) goes to Mount Greylock on Monday.
