Wahconah Girls Top Pope Francis

DALTON, Mass. – Danielle Hagmaier scored 18 points Friday to lead the Wahconah girls basketball team to a 67-39 win over Pope Francis.

 

Anna Doyle scored all nine of her points in the first quarter, when Wahconah jumped out to a 15-5 lead.

 

It stretched that margin to 36-16 at half-time after Madison McCarthy scored seven of her 14 in the second quarter.

 

Gianna Heilbroun scored 12 points, and five different Wahconah players connected from behind the 3-point line.

 

Wahconah (2-1) hosts Lenox on Tuesday.
