Tanley Drake Leads Mounties to Title Game

TURNERS FALLS, Mass. – Tanley Drake scored 30 points Thursday to lead the Mount Greylock girls basketball team to a 66-26 win over Athol in the first round of the Franklin Tech Holiday Tournament.

 

Drake knocked down four 3-pointers and scored 16 points in the first quarter alone, when the Mounties jumped out to a 23-5 lead.

 

Madison Drake scored six points, and Madison Powell and Lauren Powell added five and four, respectively on a night when nine different Mounties made a mark in the scorebook.

 

Mount Greylock (1-0) Friday plays in the tournament’s championship game at 8 p.m. against Franklin Tech, a 50-34 winner over St. Mary’s on Thursday.
