Easthampton Girls Edge Monument Mountain

EASTHAMPTON, Mass. -- Samone Young scored 18 points Tuesday to lead the Easthampton girls basketball team to a 38-36 win over Monument Mountain.

 

Ynes Bourdon scored 14 points to lead the Spartans, who got 11 from Mallory Lucey.

 

"I feel encouraged by a lot of what we did tonight but not satisfied and still have a lot of room to grow," Monument Mountain coach Joe Valerio said. "But I think we’re growing together and really starting to come together as a collective unit."

 

The Spartans (2-5) host Lee on Friday.
