Duquettes Lead Pittsfield Girls in Home Rout

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The Pittsfield girls basketball team rode the momentum of a thrilling fourth-quarter win on Monday to a big start in Tuesday’s 72-35 win over East Longmeadow.
 
The Generals outscored the Spartans by a margin of 26-7 in the first quarter and took a 38-11 lead at half-time.
 
Jamie Duquette scored 22 points, and Randi Duquette finished with 19 points and eight rebounds in the win.
 
Charlotte Goodnow scored 12 points, and Dezerea Powell added 10 as Pittsfield (9-6) won its second straight.
 
The Generals will look to qualify for the state tournament on Thursday when they travel to Westfield.
