Minnechaug Girls Hold Off Pittsfield's Late Surge

WILBRAHAM, Mass. -- The Minnechaug girls basketball team Monday outscored Pittsfield, 29-20, in the third quarter en route to a 70-65 win.

 

Pittsfield battled back in the fourth but could not overcome a 57-45 deficit going into the last eight minutes of the game.

 

Jamie Duquette and Madison Stetz each had a double-double for the Generals.

 

Duquette scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds -- both team highs. Stetz finished with 15 points and 10 boards.

 

Harolyn Castillo scored 11 points, and Randi Duquette passed out four assists in the loss.

 

Pittsfield (9-3) goes back on the road to face Chicopee Comp on Thursday.
