Steinman Leads Pittsfield Past Lee

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Peyton Steinman scored 12 of her game-high 18 points in the third quarter to help the Pittsfield High girls basketball team pull away for a 62-37 win over Lee on Friday night.
 
The Generals (4-1) had a comfortable 27-13 lead at half-time, but they outscored the Wildcats by a margin of 24-8 in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.
 
Bella Aitken scored 15 points, and Lauren Carnevale had nine for Pittsfield, which bounced back from its first loss of the season.
 
Lee (0-6) was led by Karli Retzel with nine points. Shannon Finnegan and Cara Walker scored six apiece.
 
The Wildcats hosts Monument Mountain on Tuesady, the same night Pittsfield travels to face Mount Greylock.
