SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Payton Beadling Friday scored 10 points to lead the Pope Francis girls basketball team to a 44-36 win over Lenox.

Grace Julieano scored 14 to lead the Millionaires, who outscored the Cardinals, 27-22, in the second half but could not recover from a 13-point half-time deficit.

“Evelyn Julieano had the defensive assignment of guarding their leading scorer Maddie Turmel and held her scoreless,” Lenox coach Nicole Patella noted.

The Millionaires (1-6) are back home on Friday to face Frontier.
