Artic Blast to Hit BerkshiresThe National Weather Service in Albany, N.Y., has issued a wind chill advisory beginning at 10 p.m. Saturday through 10 a.m. Sunday. 2024 Starting With Snow StormThe National Weather Service has placed a winter storm watch in effect from Saturday afternoon through Sunday evening in Berkshire County. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches are possible. Snow, Sleet, Ice in the ForecastThe North Berkshires and Southern Vermont could see some snow overnight but probably not enough to take a sleigh to grandmother's house. Another Snow Storm To Hit The Berkshires This WeekendThe National Weather Service has released a Winter Storm Warning starting March 3 at 6:00 p.m. until March 4 at 7:00 p.m.  Snow on the Way Monday NightExpect heavy snow in Berkshire County with total accumulations of 4 to 9 inches. Some Midweek Flurries, Ice in StoreSnow will begin Wednesday afternoon and will transition into sleet and freezing rain at night. Precipitation should taper off Thursday morning. Some Snow and Ice on the WayPrecipitation will start as a mix of snow and rain, transitioning into sleet mixing with freezing rain. Precipitation will taper off into a drizzle towards midnight Tuesday. Berkshires Heading Into a Deep FreezeThe National Weather Service warns the dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
