Main Street in North Adams Filled With Art in the New Year

New work from local artists, one Mass MoCA artist in residence, two MCLA alumni and eight MCLA students has been placed in storefront windows along Main Street.

New Sculpture Installed on Clark Art Institute's Front Lawn

The 30-foot-tall cast bronze, steel and soil sculpture of an upturned tree with a live eastern red cedar sapling growing from its inverted roots is a long-term installation on loan from a private collection and is situated on the lawn of the Clark's 1955 Museum Building.

Mass MoCA to Transform Marshall Street Parking Lot into Park

The installation by award-winning artist Martin Puryear has been stored in crates in the corner of the parking lot behind Big Y for the last couple years after being on display in Philadelphia and New York City.

'Guardians' Sculptures Being Removed from Natural Bridge Park

This art installation, although originally intended for the Ashuwillticook Trail, was placed at the Natural Bridge State Park here in North Adams where it has remained for the past 15 years.

More Drury Student Art Installed on Cascade Building

And this was the last year that Drury High art teacher Phoebe Pepper posed with the students whom she shepherded through the process and accepted the annual monetary donation from Cascade, which also donates the wood and supplies.
