North Adams - Pop/Rock band “Plum Crazy” returns to the MCLA campus to perform songs from their upcoming album on Friday, February 10 at 8 p.m. in the Centennial Room. The band includes three MCLA alumni; Jamie Choquette, Kristin Long and Mansour Bethoney, and will take the stage to play some new songs that they have been working on at the local recording studio called Skyboro Sound. In addition, the band will play songs from their first release “Remember That Time” as well as some of their favorite cover songs from their repertoire. Plum Crazy formed four years ago and continues to write their own music while touring the Northeast region to perform. The band has received great reviews for their music and has earned a number of honors over the past few years including two opening spots for Eve 6. Recently, the band earned second place at a battle of the bands at Pearl Street Nightclub in Northampton. The band Sourman features MCLA alum Mansour Bethoney who plays piano, guitar and also serves as the bands lead singer and songwriter. Bethoney says of the show, “I’m excited to regroup with my MCLA friends and return to my alma mater for this exciting show.” The show is free and open to the campus and surrounding community. Listeners can find Plum Crazy music on the net at www.plumcrazyrocks.com and Sourman at www.sourman.com. The local studio where their albums were recorded can be accessed at www.skyborosound.com.
