Tyler Fairbank to Speak at Entrepreneurs Meeting

BEDC head to speak on the value of Entrepreneurs in the Berkshires LENOX - Tyler Fairbank, president of the Berkshire Economic Development Council, will speak at the Berkshire Entrepreneurs Network meeting on Oct. 2. The emphasis of Fairbank's talk will be the Berkshire Blueprint, and the key role that entrepreneurs will play in its success. The program will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The Gateways. For additional information, call 413-644-0180 The overall goal of the Berkshire Blueprint is to boost innovation and competitiveness in the Berkshire region by upgrading the quality of the business environment and by organizing companies and institutions to take action and better collaborate on common challenges and opportunities. Supporting entrepreneurship is a critical success factor for the blueprint, according to Fairbank. As head of the development council, Fairbank facilitates, coordinates and leads countywide economic development efforts designed to attract and retain high-quality employers and employees. In this position, he also is the lead business development officer for Berkshire County. Fairbank was the NAFTA director of new business and sales for TUV America. He oversaw sales teams in the United States, Canada and Mexico and managed key global accounts. Prior to joining TUV, he was president of MassExcellence and was vice president of sales and marketing at Jiminy Peak Resort.
