Mill City Productions to hold additional auditions for “The Little Prince”

Print Story | Email Story
North Adams - Mill City Productions will hold additional auditions for a stage adaptation of the classic story, “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint Exupery on Saturday, June 7th at 6pm and Sunday, June 8th at 2pm at Mill City’s new home at Building 4 (next to the Visitor’s Center) in the Western Gateway Heritage State Park in North Adams. Please park in either the Northeast lot (near NBCTC) or in the Son’s of Italy lot. Actors will be asked to read scenes from the script. No prepared monologues are necessary.

"The Little Prince” tells the story of a world-weary and disenchanted Aviator whose sputtering plane strands him in the Sahara Desert and a mysterious, regal 'little man' who appears to him. During their two weeks together in the desert, the Little Prince tells the Aviator about his adventures through the galaxy, and about his strained relationship with a very special flower on his own tiny planet. The Little Prince meets many different characters and from each he gains a unique insight about the world.

“The Little Prince” will be directed by Liz Urban. Performances will take place during the third and fourth weekends in September, with a flexible rehearsal schedule during the summer. Adults of all ages, as well as high school students, are invited to audition. Actors ages 14 and up are encouraged to audition for the title role. Actors with dance or movement experience are also encouraged to audition, but performers of all experience levels will be considered. Mill City Productions is a non-profit, community-based, multigenerational collaborative focused on creating an outlet for expression and education for theatrical veterans and novices alike.
