Student Groups to Perform at 2nd Annual Mt. Greylock SEE Fund Benefit on June 3
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Student classical musicians and a cappella singers will perform at the second annual benefit for the Mount Greylock Regional High School SEE Fund on June 3 at the Williamstown Savings Bank at 795 Main St. The event will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m."Over the past decade, the Fund for Sustaining Educational Excellence at Mount Greylock Regional High School, or SEE Fund, has awarded grants of more than $100,000 to support art, music, science, literature, history, and athletics at the school," said Nathaniel Karns, SEE Fund chairman. "This year, with severe budget cuts in the offing, we need to do more. Our children deserve more. But we need the public’s help to do it."
In addition to being entertained by student musicians, said Karns, attendees will be told how SEE Fund grants have enriched education at MGRHS from those who have directly benefited – both students and faculty. "We'll also share food and drink to make this a special occasion."
Donations to the SEE Fund, a fund of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, are tax-deductible and can be made by credit card online at www.berkshiretaconic.org or by check made out to "Berkshire Taconic/SEE Fund." Checks will be accepted at the door or can be sent to Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, 271 Main St. Ste. 3, Great Barrington, MA 01230-1972.
