Fri-Sun: I Got Sick Then I Got BetterI Got Sick Then I Got Better is the tale of one woman’s adventures after falling down the medical rabbit hole. Treated for ovarian cancer in 2005, stand-up comedian and New Yorker writer Jenny Allen joins forces with 3 time Tony Award-winner James Lapine and Darren Katz to give us an amazingly funny and deeply personal account of her journey. Fri & Sat: Evita@Pittsfield HighThe Pittsfield High School's terrific theatre troupe present the musical, Evita. Created by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, it focuses on the life of Argentine political leader Eva Perón, the second wife of Argentinian president Juan Perón. The story follows Evita's early life, acting career, rise to power, charity work, feminist involvement and eventual death.

Friday: Eloquent Nude & Erotic HaikuFriday night enjoy a free screening of the recent documentary Eloquent Nude, chronicling the life of iconic model Charis Wilson and her contribution as lover, muse, & creative partner to the work of great modern photographer Edward Weston. At age 90, Charis Wilson recounts her years with Weston with great humor, candor, & some regret. Combining insight from leading scholars, rare archival images, and convincingly authentic reenactments shot on Super 8, Eloquent Nude presents a remarkable true story of love and loss, travel and adventure, and the art of photography. And also Friday, after a successful round during Pittsfield Poetry Week, Dottie’s Coffee Lounge brings back write your own (anonymous) erotic haiku night.

Friday: Opening Night at Wahconah ParkAfter hosting the 150th Williams vs. Amherst game on ESPN at a rejuvenated Wahconah Park last week, the U.S. Military All-Stars make their much anticipated Pittsfield debut facing off against the Latin Stars followed by fireworks. In preparation for the historic 20th Annual "Red, White and Blue Tour” visiting 45 states and 8 countries, the U.S. Military All-Stars will conduct spring training at the Dan Duquette Sports Academy and play almost every night at Wahconah. The program, which was founded in 1990, has expanded to include five teams at every level of baseball including the Pittsfield American Defenders. |

Sat: Catch the Buzz at Berkshire MuseumThe Berkshire Museum celebrates the return of the bees after the long Berkshire winter. From 11 a.m. to noon, cake & lemonade will be served in the Berkshire Backyard gallery, and from noon to 2 p.m., a beekeeping workshop with Northern Berkshire Beekeepers Association President and Secretary, Tom Stefanik and Tony Pisano, will be held. They will discuss the current state of beekeeping, how to start your own hive, honey harvesting, medicinal uses, differences in honey color & taste, predators, diseases, feeding, extracting, the current colony collapse disorder, bee behavior, and even how not to get stung.

Wed: Dickey Betts and Great Southern @ the ColonialThe Colonial Theatre together with Premier Concerts brings Dickey Betts and Great Southern to Pittsfield! Dickey Betts is a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band. Along with being one of the most influential guitar players of all time and Betts is credited as both writing and singing the group's biggest hit, "Ramblin' Man." Having helped define the genre, Dickey Betts & Great Southern continue to tour and break new ground in the grand tradition of great Southern Rock.

And the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts hosts the opening reception of Art in Our Schools, which features the artwork of middle school and high school students in Pittsfield.
