Elder Services’ SHINE Program Announces Public Education Sessions

Print Story | Email Story
PITTSFIELD, Mass. - Elder Services of Berkshire County, Inc.’s SHINE Program will be offering a series of public education sessions this month and next to educate Medicare beneficiaries about their choices for Medicare supplements and Medicare Advantage plans and to discuss changes in Medicare Part D prescription plans.

The SHINE program provides free, unbiased and up-to-date health insurance information, counseling and assistance to Medicare beneficiaries of all ages and their caregivers.

SHINE counselors help older persons (and younger disabled Medicare beneficiaries) understand their Medicare benefits and other health insurance options. Those attending one of the sessions listed below will have the opportunity to receive first-hand information on these important issues, and to ask individual questions of the SHINE-trained presenters.

Listed below are the educational sessions scheduled for October. November sessions, many in towns other than those listed here, are also planned. If you don’t see something listed for your community, please feel free to call Elder Services’ SHINE program at 499-0524 or 1-800-544-5242. Council on Aging locations are designated as “COA”.
