MCLA Hosting National Girls & Women in Sports Day

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts athletics department will hold its annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day program on Saturday, Feb. 2. The program is open to girls in grades 3-8 and there is also a program for adult women.

Programs offered will include clinics for basketball, soccer, the Nexxus step team, fitness, nutrition and pickleball. The event will run from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Amsler Campus Center Gymnasium, culminating with the MCLA women's basketball game versus Worcester State.

Mystic Schooners Down North Adams

MYSTIC, Conn. -- Jamie Zee went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs Thursday to lead the Schooners to a 12-6 win over the North Adams SteepleCats in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
 
Chris Diaz went 3-for-4 with a double to lead North Adams' offense.
 
The SteepleCats (1-10) host Bristol, R.I., on Friday at 6:30 at Joe Wolfe Field.
