Greylock Snow Day Holding Writing Contest
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The winter weather blog Greylock Snow Day is now accepting submissions for its first annual Greylock Snow Day Writing Contest. The contest is open to elementary, middle and high school students in the greater Berkshire County area.
This year's theme is "Snow Story." The story can be true or fictitious, but it must feature snow in a central and significant way.
The grand prize winner will receive $300. Two runners-up will receive $100 each. Winning entries will be published on Greylock Snow Day around April 15, pending parent permission.
Deadline for submissions is April 10.
Requirements for submission:
♦ Stories must be emailed to bdils@mgrhs.org with the title “GSD Writing Contest” in the subject.
♦ Stories must appear in the body of the email; we will not open any submissions with attachments.
♦ Stories will not exceed 300 words.
♦ At the bottom of the story, type the following information:

First and last Name

Mailing Address
-
Email address, if applicable
-
Phone number
-
School and grade
♦ Submissions must be original and will not have been submitted for other writing contests.
♦ One story per entrant.
♦ Submissions not following the requirements will not be considered for this year's contest.
All entries become the property of Greylock Snow Day. Entrants retain all copyrights to
their work. Greylock Snow Day will require permission from the author before publishing any winning entry.
