Berkshire Grown Winter Farmers Market
The South County market is being held at the Housy Dome, 1064 Main St., Housatonic, from 10 to 2. Features locally grown and produced foods.

Holiday Handmade Craft Fair
3 West at Norad Mill in North Adams will be filled with artists and crafters offering a wide variety of items for the holiday season. Admission is $3; children 12 and younger free. Runs from 9 to 3.

Simon's Rock Arts & Craft Fair
The Employee Enrichment Activities Committee at Simon's Rock in Great Barrington will host their annual fair in the Daniel Arts Center on campus from 2 to 6 p.m. Feature arts and crafts for sale from the college's students, faculty and staff.
Saturday, Dec. 2
Savoy Craft Fair & Bake Sale
The annual fair will be held at the town fire station, 17 Center Road, from 9 to 3. There will be a wide variety of local crafters displaying their creations just in time for holiday shopping. In addition, a bake sale with many options to tempt visitors will be held. All proceeds of the bake sale will benefit the Hilltown Hose Company. Free admission.
Holiday Art Market
Eclipse Mill, North Adams
Held in the converted mill's gallery at 243 Union St., the market features a wide range of arts and crafts, from paintings to pottery to jewelry to mixed media created by the building's artist community. Runs Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 5.

St. Mary's Christmas Bazaar
Event runs from 9 to 3 at the Cheshire church the first Saturday in December. Features foods, baked goods, raffles, cash giveaways, white elephant, chinese auctions and more.
Mount Greylock Extended Care Craft Fair
A day of crafty fun with family and friends at the annual fair at the facility at 1000 North St., Pittsfield. Shop specialty goods from local small businesses, enjoy light refreshments, learn about the resources available at the facility and enter a raffle. Runs from 11 to 3.

Holiday Shindy 2-23
For 14 years the Holiday Shindy has been a shopping tradition, showcasing artisan vendors from across the region. The Shindy features the chance to meet and watch local farms and makers weave, sew, preserve, and whittle. Longtime vendors and emerging talents will be in the Common Room at Zion Lutheran Church, 74 1st St.
Hours are 10 to 4 and admission is $3, children younger than 12 are free. More information here.
St. Charles' Christmas Bazaar & Craft Fair
St. Charles Borromeo, located at 89 Briggs Ave. in Pittsfield, is having a Christmas bazaar from 10 to 3:30. It features more than 25 craft vendors, a bake sale, soup and sandwich for purchase, and a raffle. Santa Claus will visit from 11 to 1.
Holiday Market Place
Berkshire Botanical Gardens, Stockbridge
The annual Holiday Market runs Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 10, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The market will feature a collection of 100 unique, designer wreaths as well as an assortment of holiday-blooming amaryllis and paperwhites in decorative and clay containers, succulent arrangements, garlands, hanging terrariums and gift items presented by regional artisan vendors. Special Friday preview party.
The Wahconah Regional High Student Council hosts its annual craft and vendor fair from 10 to 3 at the high school in Dalton. All proceeds including raffles benefit the Student Council's community projects and the people in need it helps.

Berkshire Botanical Garden Harvest Festival
The 24-acre garden offers two days of family friendly activities, a beer garden, more than 50 regional artisan food and craft vendors, giant tag sale and popup shop, a haunted house, hay rides and roving entertainment. Of course, the Horticulture Tent will offer garden books and tools, bulbs, mums, pumpkins, and other plants for sale.

The annual bazaar and kids' fair takes place over two floors in the former school behind Notre Dame Church. Chinese auction, knitted goods, seasonal decor, country store, lunch and takeout, silent auctions, books, raffles and carnival games.

Bennington Harvest Festival
Downtown Bennington, Vt.
Time: 10 to 5
More than 75 vendors including artisans, craftspeople, specialty foods, and more. There will be four stages with live music, activities, and a variety of food and beverage vendors and wine and spirits tastings. Also lots of pumpkin activities including a best pumpkin or squash recipe.
Third annual fundraiser for the Stamford Parent Teacher Group. Activities, games, food and items for sale, raffles of baskets and gift cards, pumpkin and scarecrow contests.
Wreaths, baked goods, jewelry, crochet item, local-made items and goodies, raffles and more.
Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Annual Bazaar
St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, North Adams
St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish in North Adams is holding a bazaar on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Features raffles and gift basket chances. Dinner and lunch eat-in or takeout.
Berkshire South Regional Community Center Arts & Craft Festival
The community center at 15 Crissey Road, Great Barrington, hosts its 8th annual fest from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. the center's parking lot with a wide array of items from Berkshire County vendors. There will also be live music by The Midnight Anthem, crépes from Crepe Royale, and tacos from The Taco Shack food truck.
This is an outdoor festival but will be moved indoors in the event of bad weather. Admission is free.
North Adams Holiday Craft Fair
North Adams Elks' annual two-day Craft Show, Nov. 4 and 5, 9 to 2. More than 50 spaces filled with local and regional goods. Coordinated by Berkshire Emporium & Antiques. Free admission. Chance auction, raffles, concession, and Sunday breakfast. Held at the lodge, 100 Eagle St.
Richmond Consolidated School Craft Fair
Richmond School at 1831 State Road is holding a craft fair from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Free admission, more than 32 vendors, silent auction, chance raffle, theme basket raffle, lottery tree raffle and more.
Fall Harvest Fair
First Baptist Church, North Adams
Time: 9 to 2
The annual fair features handmade and craft items, attic treasures, chinese auction, baked goods and homemade soup. The Elfie station also returns.

St. Stanislaus Kostka School at 108 Summer St., Adams, holds its annual bazaar from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Crafts, raffles and Polish food available.
United Methodist Church, 6 Holmes Road, Lenox, holds its craft fair from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Admission is free. Features local crafters and artisans, silent auction, baked good and the Salvation from Hunger Cafe.

Drury Senior Writes Song About Overcoming Challenges

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Drury High senior and Berkshires' Academy for Advanced Musical Studies student drummer Zach Hillard has composed a song, "Here I Am," as a personal anthem of overcoming challenges.
"If you want to do something, go do it. That's the whole point behind 'Here I Am,'" Hillard said. "Any obstacles and challenges you may face in your life, if you have something you want to do, go for it. There is not one person on earth who does not have a dream or something they want to overcome. Whether it is physical or mental, it does not matter, if you want to do it."
The song is personal and showcases Hillard's struggles with cerebral palsy and how those struggles have shaped who he has become.
The song opens with the lyrics:
Look — my name is Zach.
I was born early, eager to see the world
and drop some knowledge.
Doctors said that I would not talk, walk,
and be wheelchair bound.
But look at me:
Here I am.
I'm talking, walking, and can do anything
I wanna do; nothing can stop me.
Hillard said he never knew writing music would be so important to him and was surprised by how much he took to the BAAMS assignment that asked students to pen some lyrics and themes for an original song.
Hillard decided to write about his own life.
"I've got a pretty cool life story. So I went home, I thought about it, and in about one day, I had most of it written," he said. "...The end of verse one I wrote ‘look at me here I am.' I thought 'Here I am' that is sort of catchy."
