February 15 - February 21, 2019

The 10x10 Upstreet Arts Festival takes place Thursday, Feb. 14 - Sunday, Feb. 24 and features music, art, theater, dance, film and more. There is something for the entire family, from Barrington Stage's 10x10 New Play Festival and live jazz at The Whitney, to 10 Days of Play at the Berkshire Museum and a fireworks extravaganza on the Pittsfield Common.

The Tyler Street Lab @ 730 is a 4-month pop-up that creates a community space out of an underutilized storefront. The city's Office of Cultural Development, in collaboration with the Transformative Development Initiative (TDI), is putting out two calls for art: a storefront configuration challenge and a community art installation challenge. There will be a stipend of up to $850 to the award-winning designs - one from each challenge. Please submit all materials to by Monday, Feb. 25 at 5 p.m.!
The 10x10 Real Art Party (RAP) is your chance to take home a piece of art while supporting the Berkshire Art Association! Artists from the Berkshires and beyond have contributed 10x10 inch original works to be auctioned off for $25 each. The Preview Party begins at 6 p.m. and the auction starts at 7 p.m. To guarantee a piece of art, purchase an ARTtix at the Berkshire Museum. Tickets are on sale now through the night of the party (or until they sell out).

Pittsfield Nationals Edged in 8/10 Little League State Semis

Community submission
SALEM, Mass. -- Despite the scorching 90-plus degree temperatures, the Pittsfield National and Mansfield 8-10 Year Old All-Star teams played their hearts out on Saturday at O’Grady Field.
Mansfield came out on top with a 3-1 win, advancing to Sunday's state championship game.
"It’s sad that our adventure has come to an end, but I couldn’t be more proud of the teamwork and heart these 12 boys showed in the month and a half we had them together," Pittsfield Nats coach Mark Socie said.
Mansfield struck early scoring a pair of unearned runs in the bottom of the first inning.
