Green Team Recycle and Shred Drive

CHESHIRE, Mass. — There will be a recycle and shred drive at the Cheshire Transfer Station to support the Youth Center.
 
The drive will be held Saturday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at the Cheshire Transfer station located at 191 Church St.
 
The drive will be hosted by the Green Team, a local youth education program supported through MassDEP that teaches kids the importance of recycling.
 
Price List:
  • $5: suggested donation for shredding.
  • $5: Small computer related items, mouse, keyboard, telephone, answering machine, DVD player, VCR, etc.
  • $10: Medium electronic related items, copy machines, printers, scanners, computer monitors, laptops, CPU towers, etc.
  • $20: Large electronic related items, flat screen TVs, etc.
  • $40: Extra large electronic related items, projection TVs, console TVs, etc.
The drive is open to all communities.

Hoosac Valley Presents December Concert

CHESHIRE, Mass. — Hoosac Valley announced its annual December Concert, taking place on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hoosac Valley High School Auditorium. 
 
This annual event will showcase the musical talents of students across the district.
 
The evening will feature performances by:
  • Middle School Band, under the direction of Richard Boulger
  • High School Band, under the direction of Amanda Watroba
  • High School Jazz Band, also under the direction of Amanda Watroba
Admission to the concert is free, and all community members are invited to attend and support the district's young performers.
 
During the event, the winner of the annual fuel raffle will be chosen, adding an exciting moment to the night's festivities.
