DALTON, Mass. — The Weight Band will be making their debut on The Stationery Factory's main stage on May 13th.

Tickets start at 30$, with more premium seating options available.

The Weight Band is led by Jim Weider, a 15-year former member of The Band and the Levon Helm Band.

The Weight Band originated in 2013 inside the Woodstock barn of Levon Helm. Weider had played 15 years with The Band spanning back to the mid-eighties, writing songs alongside original band members Garth Hudson, Rick Danko, and the late Levon Helm. After Helm's passing, Weider was inspired to carry on the musical legacy of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group.

With Jim Weider taking up guitar duties, the rest of the band is composed of keyboardist Brian Mitchell (Levon Helm's Midnight Ramble Band), bassist Albert Rogers (Jim Weider Band, Jimmy Vivino), drummer Michael Bram (Jason Mraz) and keyboardist Matt Zeiner (Dickey Betts).

Their new album "Shines Like Gold" was released on April 1 and was recorded entirely live at Rhinebeck in 2020. The Album represents a "sublime example of these masterful roots musicians at work, transitioning between dialects of funky swamp-pop, blues, country, and good old-fashioned roadhouse rock & roll," according to a press release.
