Wahconah Regional High School to Hold Freshman Orientation

DALTON, Mass. — Wahconah Regional High School will host a freshman orientation for the Class of 2029 on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 6:30 p.m. in the school auditorium. The event aims to provide parents and students with important information about the scheduling process and course offerings for ninth grade.
 
School administrators and staff will be present to discuss academic options and answer questions. Prior to the orientation, Wahconah students will offer building tours for parents from 5:45 to 6:20 p.m.
 
In case of inclement weather, the orientation will be rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 5.

Dalton CRA Softball Tournament Concludes Sunday Evening

DALTON, Mass. -- For the second year in a row, weather has intruded on the Dalton CRA Invitational Softball Tournament.
 
Fortunately, it looks like this year the weather will be perfect for the final.
 
Saturday's rain forced a little adjusting to the schedule, leaving five games to be played on Sunday.
 
The 10-and-under tournament action will start with the Greylock Thunder taking on the Berkshire Force at 9:45 a.m. on the varsity field at Pine Grove Park.
 
All five games will be played on the varsity field, with the championship game slated for 5:15 p.m.
 
The Berkshire Force, Adams-Cheshire-Savoy Swat, Greylock Thunder, Berkshire Storm and Vermont Bombers are competing in the tournament that got underway with a round robin on Friday night.
