Dalton Opens Nominations for Annual Town Election

DALTON, Mass. —The nomination process for Dalton's Annual Town Election on May 12, 2025, is now underway. 
 
Residents interested in running for town office can pick up nomination papers at the Town Clerk's Office.
 
Positions on the ballot include two Select Board members (three-year terms), a one-year term for Moderator, a three-year Cemetery Trustee seat, two three-year Planning Board seats, four Library Trustee positions (three-year terms), and five Finance Committee seats (three-year terms).
 
Candidates must collect at least 20 signatures from registered voters and submit their nomination papers to the Town Clerk's Office for certification by April 1. The deadline to pick up papers is March 24.
