Adams Community Bank Promotes to Vice President of Loan Servicing

ADAMS, Mass. — Adams Community Bank (ACB) announced the promotion of Shelli Cowdrey to Vice President of Loan Servicing.

Cowdrey has been a member of the Bank's team for over 19 years, concentrating her entire career in Loan Servicing.

She has earned multiple promotions and increased leadership responsibilities since beginning her journey with the Bank as a loan assistant. Her most recent role was an AVP Loan Servicing Supervisor.

"Shelli has been an essential part of our loan servicing operations and a remarkable leader within our bank," said Julie Fallon Hughes, ACB President and CEO. "Her promotion reflects her leadership, attention to detail, and in-depth knowledge of the bank's lending operations, which have played a key role in the growth and strength of the Loan Servicing team."

In her new role, Cowdrey will oversee all aspects of the loan servicing process, ensuring smooth operations, regulatory compliance, and high-quality customer support. She will continue working closely with department staff and leadership to uphold the Bank's integrity, efficiency, and personal service standards.

Shelli is a graduate of the New England School of Financial Studies.

Adams Parts Ways With Police Chief

ADAMS, Mass. — The town has parted ways with its police chief.

K. Scott Kelley "is no longer employed by the Town of Adams," according to interim Town Administrator Holli Jayko.

The Board of Selectmen voted on Sept. 8 to put the police chief on a paid leave of absence but town officials have declined to answer repeated questions about the nature of the absence other than to clarify it was not a "suspension."

His departure follows an executive session held by the Selectmen last Wednesday to discuss a personnel matter other than professional competence, including health or discipline, or dismissal.

A request for further information on whether Kelley's leaving was through resignation or termination was not provided, or whether his contract had been paid out.

"The Town does not comment on personnel matters and will have no further comment on this matter at this time," responded Selectmen Chair John Duval via email on Friday.

Kelley, who moved here to take the post of chief in 2021, has reportedly sold his home.
