The Registry of Motor Vehicles is reminding motorists who plan to use studded snow tires this winter to get their state vehicle inspection before they mount their tires.
The reason; vehicles with studded snow tires cannot be driven on the treadmill-like dynamometer at the inspection stations.
Any motorists who arrive with studded snow tires will be asked to come back without them.
Studded snow tires are allowed on Massachusetts's roads between November 1st and April 30th.

"We are unable to get proper electricity and heat to the building," according to Executive Director Matthew Alcombright. "We hope that this can be resolved and be open tomorrow."
