The British got a home run from Ian Lewis and four innings of shutout work on the mound from New York Yankees prospect Brendan Beck.
Koperniak, a Hoosac Valley High School graduate and St. Louis Cardinals prospect, finished the international tournament batting .333 with an .538 on-base percentage, both leading Team GB, which went 1-3 in pool play.
