North Adams Man Charged With Murder

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — A local man is being charged with murdering a family member at his home. 
 
David Louis Boucher, 48, is expected to arraigned on one count of murder in Northern Berkshire District Court on Tuesday morning. 
 
According to the Berkshire District Attorney's Office, police responded to the home at 256 Walnut St. at about 11:49 a.m. after Boucher reportedly called to tell them he had killed a family member. 
 
Upon arrival, police found a man deceased inside the home. The DA has not released the identity of the individual. 
 
Boucher was taken into custody at the scene and the incident is under investigation. 
 
The DA's Office said there is no danger to the public. A section of Walnut Street has been cordoned off and police were still at the scene as of 4:15 p.m.

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Four Vermont pitchers combined to strike out 11 and allow four hits Tuesday as the Mountaineers beat the North Adams SteepleCats, 11-0, in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Evan Meier, Bobby Stang, Tonny Woodie and Chris Diaz each had a hit for the SteepleCats, who used five pitchers in the loss.
 
North Adams (0-2) comes home Tuesday to host the Mystic Schooners at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.
